Capitol Nashville star Trace Adkins continues his support of the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) by promoting "Food Allergy Awareness Week" (FAAW). The 11th annual FAAW takes place May 11th-17th and seeks to raise awareness to the prevalence of food allergies.
Trace's involvement is geared toward teens and focuses on friends helping friends. Studies show that teens are most at risk for a fatal allergic reaction and by educating their friends and peers, life with food allergies is much easier to deal with. Trace will be featured on a poster that is available on the FAAN website for free and urges teens to get involved and learn more about food allergies.
Trace said, "Get your game on - take charge of your food allergies, carry your medicine, and teach your friends so they have your back." This is a very personal crusade for Trace as his daughter, Brianna, is one of the three million American children with severe food allergies.
