helped raise enough toys to provide Christmas for close to 7,000 needy kids in Western NORTH CAROLINA. For the last three years morning man CHUCK MARSH has braved the elements and lived in the radio station van for 54 hours while the van was suspended 30 feet in the air to "raise" awareness for Toys for Tots. This event is the largest toy collection, raising over $25,000 in cash and more than 5,000 toys. The event gave listeners the chane to bring by a $10.00 Cash donation or a $10.00 new / un-wrapped toy for the chance to win a year supply of groceries ($5,200.00 worth) from area Ingles stores. Just to show you how GREAT WKSF listeners are, the winner of the groceries turned around and donated then to our local Mana Food Bank.
