was told that she would be receiving a plaque to commemorate the Gold status of her self-titled debut CD on 6/10 while signing autographs at the CMA MUSIC FEST. The 17-year-old thought it a bit odd since the disk obtained Gold status months ago, but went along with it. A representative from the RIAA showed up and began to presentation and informed the star that he was presenting her with a Platinum album, not a Gold. Needless to say, she was extremely pleased!

just finished up opening for DIERKS BENTLEY's tour. LAMBERT had heard of BENTLEY's notorious final-night pranks so she decided to pull one of her own before he could get her. Each night before BENTLEY would perform a ballad the lights would go down and a tech would bring him a guitar, this night in particular LAMBERT came out and gave him her signature pink guitar. When the lights came up BENTLEY realized what had happened and couldn't make it through the first verse of the song without cracking up.
